January 8 - First Personal Goal Met!

For those of you who are just picking up the story here, I've been (intentionally) losing weight since Dec 1 2008. Nothing crazy - just cutting back on portions. It's worked extremely well so far.

In March 2004 I did a show called Miss Gulch Returns. I weighed 197 lbs. My costume was a tight fitting frock that essentially corseted me. Seven months after that, I reprised the role for another 3 week run. However, during the summer, I had gained 20 lbs. Yes, 20 lbs in 7 months. The costume didn't fit and had to be let out. I was mortified. The show went on, but that personal anger in me came out during the performance (probably making it a better show.)

Since then, I never really lost that weight except for a few brief months when I starved myself on Nutrisystem.

Well, this morning I jumped on that scale. 216.6! I was 217 lbs the second time I did "Gulch". I've now met my first personal weight goal. Now I just have to maintain this weight for the rest of the month to be on track for my goal setting with Brad. (FYI - the picture show above is me in costume at the 197 lb weight.)

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a dress to try on...

PS - thanks to Russ for being OK with me eating only 1 slice of pizza last night. We Italians like to feed each other and we feel guilty if we don't accept each others offer for more food. When I declined a second slice of pizza last night, Russ didn't push the issue. Thanks, Poodle.

Breakfast - 2 cups of coffee. Flax Oil Tab. 1/3 cup yogurt, 1/4 cup of Fiber One cereal.

Lunch - a medium sized sweet potato. 2 Pirouette cookies.

Snack - 1/2 of a Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich

Dinner - 1/2 cup wedding soup. Nummy salad with blue cheese, cranberries & a little cheese. Carrot souffle from Giant Eagle. (It has to be fattening. It's too delicious not to be.)
