Since I'm no Top Chef, slicing root vegetables was getting to be a pain. I wasn't able to get uniform slices or slices nearly thin enough.
Today, I bought an Oxo Good Grips Mandoline Slicer. So far I like it. I think with a little practice, I'll be slicing my veggies faster. This little wonder slices, juliennes, waffle cuts, and more. Slicing the onions for the ragout was quick. Sweet potatoes are no longer a problem.
